Job Title: Care Co-ordinator
Location: Harrogate, North Yorkshire
Reports To: Registered Manager
Salary: £24,000 – £26,000
Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, with occasional on-call duties

Job Purpose:
As a Care Co-ordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that high-quality care services are delivered to clients effectively and efficiently. You will manage the day-to-day scheduling of caregivers, ensure continuity of care, and maintain excellent communication with clients, caregivers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Scheduling and Care Coordination:

    • Create and manage caregiver schedules, ensuring client needs are met promptly.

    • Match caregivers to clients based on compatibility and care requirements.

    • Respond to schedule changes and emergencies efficiently.

  2. Client and Caregiver Support:

    • Act as the first point of contact for clients and their families, addressing concerns and queries.

    • Support caregivers by providing clear instructions, resources, and emotional support.

    • Conduct care assessments and client reviews, ensuring care plans remain up-to-date and effective.

  3. Quality Assurance:

    • Monitor service delivery to ensure it meets company and regulatory standards.

    • Conduct regular client and caregiver check-ins to gather feedback and resolve issues.

    • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and company policies.

  4. Recruitment and Training:

    • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training new caregivers.

    • Monitor caregiver performance and support their professional development.

  5. Administrative Duties:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and caregiver records.

    • Prepare reports and documentation as required.

    • Liaise with the finance team regarding payroll and invoicing.

  6. Community Engagement:

    • Represent Visiting Angels in the local community, building relationships with key stakeholders.

    • Promote the organisation through events, networking, and marketing initiatives.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in domiciliary care.

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm under pressure.

  • Proficiency in using scheduling and care management software.

  • A good understanding of CQC regulations and standards.

Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.

  • Previous experience in recruiting and training staff.

  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
