About the Role

Are you a talented recruitment professional looking for a rewarding, flexible part-time role? Visiting Angels is a premium home care provider with a unique difference: we put our caregivers at the very heart of everything we do.

As our Recruitment Manager, you will be the driving force behind finding the kindest, most dependable “Angels” to join our community team. This is a standalone, fast-paced role where you will manage the entire candidate journey—from tracking down top talent to booking their final onboarding. If you love building relationships and want a role that balances perfectly with your personal life, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing Talent: Write engaging job ads, manage local job boards, and attend community recruitment events across the Lothians.
  • Screening & Interviewing: Conduct initial telephone screenings and lead face-to-face interviews to find the right cultural fit.
  • Onboarding & Vetting: Manage the reference process, coordinate PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) background checks, and verify Right to Work.
  • Compliance & Admin: Maintain accurate, up-to-date candidate files in line with Care Inspectorate regulations.
  • Brand Ambassador: Positively promote the Visiting Angels carer-centric values to position us as the employer of choice in local care.
What We Offer You
    • Competitive Pro-Rata Salary: Paid regularly with annual reviews.
    • True Flexibility: Work your 20 hours across a schedule that fits your lifestyle.
    • A Supportive Environment: Join a collaborative, welcoming office team that values your expertise.

Essential Criteria
    • Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in recruitment (internal, agency, or high-volume sectors). Experience recruiting in social care is highly desirable but not essential.
    • Skills: Excellent communication, a warm telephone manner, and high digital confidence.
    • Compliance Savvy: Strong attention to detail with an understanding of strict vetting or background check processes.
    • Transport: A full UK driving licence and access to your own car (needed for local networking and events).
    • Sponsorship: We are currently unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
