Meet the Team

Jade Thumwood – Managing Director

My passion for care started as a child in the school holidays helping my grandmother who dedicated her retirement from nursing to the British Red Cross and delivering meals on wheels to those that needed support at home. Then whilst at University when I worked part time at a residential care home until graduation.

Years went by and my career progressed within different industries such as recruitment, fashion sales and more recently operations and finance. Whilst I enjoyed many successes working in these industries, the thought never left my mind to go back to care; missing the gratification and satisfactions of a role that made such a huge difference to the lives it touched and Care touches so many people’s lives…

So, I returned to the care industry in 2012 where I found my true passion in home care and worked as General Manager with CQC registration. There have been huge successes over the years – winning East Midlands Registered Manager of the year and building so many meaningful relationships with carers, their families, local networks and clients. Today, I am incredibly proud to be directing Visiting Angels West Leicestershire; giving back to my own local community.

We have an incredible team of caregivers, who have become family – they are at the heart of our business and everything we strive to do is to support them. By supporting our caregivers we enable them to do everything they can making a huge difference in the lives of our clients and their loved ones.
