At Visiting Angels South Yorkshire, we believe in creating warm, welcoming spaces where people can come together, share companionship, and enjoy meaningful moments. That’s why we are so proud to host our monthly Dementia Café, a friendly event designed to support those living with dementia, their families, and the wider community.
A successful September gathering
Our latest Dementia Café on Wednesday 3rd September was a huge success, with a fantastic turnout and plenty of smiles all around. Guests enjoyed tea, coffee and delicious cakes, as well as the chance to relax and chat in a safe and supportive environment.
We were also delighted to welcome back singer Paul Barrie, who filled the room with music and joy. Laughter, conversation and a few sing-alongs made the afternoon truly special, and we can’t wait to bring more entertainment in the months ahead.
What’s coming next?
We’re always looking for new ways to keep the café fresh, engaging and fun. Here’s a little of what we have planned:
- Different singers and live entertainment at each session
- Chair dancing activities
- Music bingo
It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends, share experiences, and most importantly, enjoy time together.
When and where?
Our Dementia Café runs on the first Wednesday of every month, with the next one taking place on Wednesday 1st October. Everyone is welcome whether you are living with dementia, caring for a loved one, or simply want to connect with the local community.
