Home Care in South Devon
Welcome to Visiting Angels South Devon. As local residents of Devon, we are delighted to offer a premium home care service to the people in our local area.
We provide a range of care, from companionship, to social care. Our aim is to support people to continue to stay in the comfort of their own home.
We focus on including caregivers from your local area, so they easily become part of your community. This helps our caregivers understand your specific neighbourhood, and it also allows us to offer our services well, even in faraway places.
An essential part of our service is to give you a choice of caregiver matched to your own specific care needs, hobbies, pastimes and interests. We introduce you to our matched Caregiver before home care starts, so that you can get to know them and decide if they are the right fit for you. It is important that long-term relationships are built so that you trust the Angels that you invite into your homes and enjoy being in their company.

Meet the Team
Roderick Petty – Managing Director

Born in Bermuda in 1959, Roderick Petty has always respected elders and has been passionate about exploring different cultures. This curiosity, along with his entrepreneurial spirit, led him to co-found Atlantic Caregiving in 2008 and, in 2024, partner to bring Visiting Angles to South Devon and Cornwall. He is driven to provide dignified, personalised care for the elderly. Inspired by his experiences and global outlook, Roderick values empathy, respect, and cultural understanding in all aspects of care.
For him, caregiving is more than just a job – it’s a calling. He works tirelessly to ensure that his team not only meets the unique needs of every client but also feels valued and supported. Roderick’s commitment to continuous improvement, embracing technology, and fostering strong relationships within his team allows them to make a real difference in the lives of its clients, ensuring they feel safe, respected, and truly cared for. His vision of quality care is rooted in kindness, compassion, and a deep sense of community
Dawn Zuill – Managing Director

I was fortunate to be born on the beautiful island of Bermuda, where the rich culture and close-knit community profoundly shaped my values and perspective. Growing up, I became acutely aware of the limited resources and challenges in healthcare and education.
My journey took a transformative turn when I had the opportunity to study overseas, igniting a passion for travel and the pursuit of opportunities beyond my island home. My professional career began in finance, providing me with a strong foundation in understanding successful business models. This foundation evolved into a lifelong entrepreneurial journey, where I’ve established and operated businesses across retail, shipping, staffing and recruitment, software development, property management, and home healthcare services.
Nearly 15 years ago, I founded my first home care business, driven by a genuine need in my community to support seniors and vulnerable individuals. Through research and international collaboration, including working with the esteemed Visiting Angels UK team, I’ve continued to grow as a leader in compassionate care.
My mission is to offer exceptional home care services in South Devon, empowering clients to live with dignity while supporting our Angel carers with advanced training and education. Having chosen South Devon as our home, I am committed to building trust and serving the community with dedication and care.

“Thank for literally being “visiting angels” to dad. Without you his life would not have that magic touch you brought to him. You will be treasured for your work.”
