We focus on building trust, supporting independence and helping each client feel safe, comfortable and respected in their own home.<\/p><p>This role would suit someone who enjoys working with older people, communicates clearly and takes pride in providing thoughtful, dependable care.<\/p><h3>What we offer<\/h3><ul><li>\u00a314.00 per hour starting rate<\/li><li>Paid travel time between visits<\/li><li>Mileage paid at 35p per mile<\/li><li>Guaranteed hours from the outset, usually starting between 10 and 20 hours per week depending on your availability<\/li><li>Opportunities to increase your hours as the business grows<\/li><li>Regular clients and a consistent rota wherever possible<\/li><li>Paid training<\/li><li>A work phone<\/li><li>Supportive and accessible management<\/li><li>Clear communication and a respectful working environment<\/li><li>Annual pay progression for reliable, high-performing carers<\/li><\/ul><h3>Availability we are looking for<\/h3><p>We are particularly interested in applicants who can offer regular availability during the week, some early evenings and alternate weekends.<\/p><p>Our busiest care times are usually:<\/p><ul><li>Weekday mornings and lunchtimes<\/li><li>Some early evenings<\/li><li>Alternate weekends<\/li><\/ul><p>You do not need to be available all day, every day. We will agree your guaranteed hours based on the availability you can reliably commit to.<\/p><p>This position is best suited to someone looking for regular, long-term work rather than occasional or ad hoc shifts.<\/p><h3>What you will be doing<\/h3><p>You will support private clients in their own homes with a combination of companionship, personal care and practical assistance.<\/p><p>Your responsibilities may include:<\/p><ul><li>Providing companionship, conversation and reassurance<\/li><li>Supporting clients with washing, dressing and personal care<\/li><li>Assisting with mobility and safe movement around the home<\/li><li>Preparing meals and drinks<\/li><li>Helping clients maintain familiar routines and independence<\/li><li>Following individual care plans<\/li><li>Noticing and reporting changes in a client\u2019s health or wellbeing<\/li><li>Communicating professionally with clients, families and healthcare professionals<\/li><li>Completing clear and accurate care notes<\/li><li>Supporting clients with dignity, privacy, patience and respect<\/li><\/ul><p>Our visits are designed to be calm, respectful and relationship-led.<\/p><h3>Experience and suitability<\/h3><p>Previous care experience is preferred, particularly experience in domiciliary or home care.<\/p><p>However, we will also consider applicants who have significant unpaid caring experience, excellent people skills and the right values.<\/p><p>You may be a good fit for this role if you are:<\/p><ul><li>Reliable and punctual<\/li><li>Warm, patient and respectful<\/li><li>Comfortable working independently<\/li><li>Organised and able to follow care plans and instructions<\/li><li>Confident communicating with older people and their families<\/li><li>Observant and willing to report concerns promptly<\/li><li>Looking for stable, meaningful work with regular clients<\/li><\/ul><h3>Communication and client safety<\/h3><p>Clear spoken and written English is essential for safe care delivery.<\/p><p>You must be able to:<\/p><ul><li>Read and follow care plans<\/li><li>Write accurate care notes<\/li><li>Report concerns clearly and promptly<\/li><li>Communicate confidently with clients and their families<\/li><li>Contact the office, healthcare professionals or emergency services when necessary<\/li><\/ul><p>This requirement supports client safety, accurate record-keeping and effective communication with the older people we care for.<\/p><h3>Essential requirements<\/h3><p>To apply, you must have:<\/p><ul><li>A full UK driving licence<\/li><li>Access to your own vehicle<\/li><li>The Right to Work in the UK<\/li><li>Reliable availability for your agreed working hours<\/li><li>Clear spoken and written English<\/li><li>A willingness to provide personal care where required<\/li><li>The ability to work across Whitstable, Herne Bay, Canterbury and surrounding areas<\/li><\/ul><p>Please note that we are not currently able to offer visa sponsorship.<\/p><h3>About the role<\/h3><p>This is a domiciliary care position, so you will travel between clients\u2019 homes during your working day.<\/p><p>Because we pay both travel time and mileage, we aim to plan sensible local rounds and prioritise applicants who live within or close to the areas we support.<\/p><p>We work with privately funded clients.
