Amy Lahner – Care Director

Amy is passionate about delivering compassionate care that makes a real difference in people’s lives. As Managing Director for Visiting Angels North Kent, Amy draws on her extensive healthcare background to provide the best possible home care experience. Trained as a physiotherapist at the University of Witwatersrand, Amy successfully ran her own physiotherapy practice in Johannesburg, South Africa for five years, where she helped patients recover from surgeries and manage chronic conditions.
Amy knows firsthand the challenges patients face and understands how quality, personalised home care can improve someone’s well-being and independence. She aims to ensure every client receives care that respects their dignity and supports their unique needs. With Amy at the helm, you can trust Visiting Angels to bring warmth, professionalism, and respect into your home.
Darryl Lahner
 – Director

Darryl brings over 22 years of experience as a senior retail banker to Visiting Angels, servicing the Canterbury, Whitstable and surrounding areas with home care services. At Visiting Angels, we are compulsively carer-centric, believing that making carers our top priority ensures the delivery of carer-focused home care and quality domiciliary care services. With a deep understanding of people, Darryl has always been passionate about nurturing potential and creating opportunities for growth. He believes that the heart of any successful care team lies in its people, and he takes great pride in fostering a supportive home care environment that is both caring and enabling, with quality caregiver support.
Drawing inspiration from the concept of “ubuntu”—a philosophy that centres on community helping the community—Darryl is committed to ensuring that Visiting Angels provides community-centred home care and support for clients and caregivers. His experience in the corporate world has given him a unique perspective on leadership, focusing on compassion, respect, and a strong sense of community, all of which align with the core values of Visiting Angels.
Nicola Pike
 – Registered Manager

Nicola is a dedicated Registered Care Manager at Visiting Angels, with over 25 years of experience in the care sector. Nicola’s passion for caring for others shines through in every aspect of her work. She finds immense joy in building meaningful relationships with her clients and supporting them to live fulfilling lives. Her background spans residential management for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and in-home care services, where her leadership earned OUTSTANDING ratings from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Nicola believes that quality home care starts with happy carers. She is committed to creating a supportive environment that values and nurtures caregivers, which in turn ensures the highest quality of care for clients. Nicola’s approach is community-focused and person-centred, making her an invaluable leader at Visiting Angels, dedicated to enhancing the lives of both clients and carers.
