We focus on including caregivers from your local area, so they easily become part of your community. This helps our caregivers understand your specific neighbourhood, and it also allows us to offer our services well, even in faraway places.
An essential part of our service is to give you a choice of caregiver matched to your own specific care needs, hobbies, pastimes and interests. We introduce you to our matched Caregiver before home care starts, so that you can get to know them and decide if they are the right fit for you. It is important that long-term relationships are built so that you trust the Angels that you invite into your homes and enjoy being in their company.

Meet the Team
Kelly Samuels – Managing Director

I was born into a family deeply rooted in healthcare. My grandmother, a nurse, often shared stories of her experiences delivering babies and caring for patients with unwavering compassion during the 1970s. Her dedication and the lengths she went for her patients profoundly influenced my beliefs and values, inspiring me from a young age to pursue a career in healthcare.
Driven by this early inspiration, I enrolled at university to study Social Work, aiming to make a difference in the lives of others. Over the past 24 years, I have worked diligently within both Local Authorities and the NHS, guided by a deep compassion and commitment to my patients. My career has spanned various roles, including providing effective Dementia crisis mental health support, urgent care, criminal justice interventions, and community outreach.
Working within older people’s dementia crisis teams was particularly transformative, as it highlighted the critical need for quality care at home for vulnerable individuals who lack the capacity to make informed decisions about their care and treatment. My experience in safeguarding teams, where I encountered numerous instances of neglect in the care of vulnerable individuals, further fuelled my desire to make a meaningful impact.
These experiences have shaped my commitment to improving the care received by vulnerable people and their families. I have spent considerable time engaging with families, listening to their concerns about the gaps in patient safety and care delivery within mainstream care providers. This feedback has strengthened my resolve to advocate for and implement higher standards of care.
This is why I am eager to join Visiting Angels. I am deeply aligned with its mission to provide compassionate, personalised care, and I am committed to contributing to the positive change they bring to the lives of vulnerable individuals and their families. By joining this organisation, I hope to continue my journey of advocating for and delivering the highest quality of care to those who need it most.
“I want to thank you for sending me such a wonderful Angel to help me during my recuperation. I always felt safe and comfortable when she was here.”
“Thank for literally being “visiting angels” to dad. Without you his life would not have that magic touch you brought to him. You will be treasured for your work.”
