Pride Month in June
What does Pride mean to you?
We want to celebrate and educate people on LGBTQ. It’s important to celebrate a sense of belonging and freedom. Pride is an annual global celebration in commemoration of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer community. It is associated with parades and parties that honour the community’s joys and accomplishments.
Celebrating diversity in terms of our gender, our race, our ages, all the ways we are different yet connected! We cannot achieve true tolerance through legislation, we must change hearts and minds as well. We hope society teaches us to respect one another, appreciate our differences and to overcome prejudice. We want to raise awareness and support our carergivers about being proud of who you are and coming together in love and friendship.
The Rainbow Pride Flag is the most enduring symbol, symbolising Power. The rainbow is beautiful and the spiritual parts of nature makes the symbol for our human rights magical!
We have an open door policy and welcome you all to chat to us in a safe space. A listening ear can make a lot of difference to our mental health and wellbeing so please pop in anytime.
