This week we enjoyed bringing our caregivers together to participate in a workshop on promoting health and wellbeing in the workplace. All too often caregivers suffer as they are so focussed on looking after others, there own wellbeing becomes low priority. Here at Visiting Angels Fylde Coast we discussed the factors that can impact how we feel about coming to work. These included fatigue, feeling rushed, finances, workload and daily life pressures. Lisa, our Managing Director, led a session on how we can all manage these issues, and how Visiting Angels can help offer practical support to our valued caregivers. We are proud of our award winning carer-centric culture and it felt rewarding to see the Angels participate in a fun game which involved giving praise to another team member. There was laughter and a few tears, but most of all it felt like family, one of our Visiting Angels core values.
