Life is busy and sometimes it’s hard to make time for ourselves. This years theme is Moving More for our Mental Health. Regular physical activity is known to improve mental health, quality of life and wellbeing. Exercise releases feel good hormones that reduce feelings of stress and anger. It helps us better about our bodies, improves sleep and reduces anxiety. There are some lovely local groups available that supports the community with daily events to combat loneliness and isolation. There are various activities to suit everyone from Keep Fit and Dance, Health Walks at Fairhaven Lake and Music and Movement.
Ways to deal with emotions-
If you are feeling overwhelmed, take a step back.
If you’re feeling stressed, take a deep breathe and focus on relaxing.
If you’re feeling anxious, talk about it.
If you’re feeling drained, rest and recharge.
If you’re feeling upset, take some time out for self care whether you eat well, read a book or watch a film.
If you’re feeling alone, reach out for support.
It’s okay to prioritise you! It’s okay to ask for help! Be kind to yourself.
