At Visiting Angels East Nottinghamshire we strive towards inclusivity and empathy in our care and support for our clients with Autism and other learning disabilities. We recognise the unique needs and experiences of autistic and other neuro divergent individuals. Our support plan is not only bespoke and tailor-made, but we apply the strength-based approach, this means we do not only focus on areas our clients may be struggling with but encourage or help harness their existing skills to enhance their confidence, social inclusion, and needs.

Over time your carers will get to your routines, specific interests, mannerisms, likes, dislikes, and triggers to minimise distress, outbursts, and anxiety, and help build your confidence using the strength-based approach.
Communicate Clearly
Your carers are trained in different types of communication such as pictures, Visual aids any other method of preferred communication, and they will communicate with you in clear and concise language with empathy. Your carers are patient and are there to offer reassurance and emotional support. Based on your preference your carers would encourage and advocate for self-expression through any creative outlets, music, art, or preferred outlet.
