A look back at our first Dementia Café
Earlier this year, our first Chapeltown dementia café welcomed families, carers, and people living with dementia for an afternoon filled with warmth and community spirit. There was chatting, laughter, and new friendships made over cups of coffee and delicious cake… and of course, we couldn’t resist some singing and dancing thanks to the amazing Paul Barrie, who had the whole room smiling and moving!
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us; your energy, warmth, and community spirit made the day very special.
We’d also like to give a special thank you to Letzmove for sponsoring the event and being such a lovely part of the day. And, a massive thank you to Dave from The Club House for being a fantastic host and helping us bring this event to life.
The morning was a beautiful reminder that dementia cafés are more than just events, they are safe spaces where people can relax, share stories, and enjoy uplifting moments together.
