Get to Know Our Team

Sunny Dhaliwal
Managing Director & Registered Manager

I have always wanted to help people from an adolescent and decided to enter the health social care field to start to support people with mental health and Substance misuse problems. This was driven by a caring mother who had been a pillar in the community for helping others.  But it wasn’t until my grandfather became unwell and started to suffer from onset Dementia, that I realised that change was needed.  My family did not understand how to support my grandfather and did not understand his personal needs or how to manage his behaviour and sadly we were often at a loss of how to proceed with his care and especially with my grandfather’s respective wishes in mind as he wanted to stay within the comfort of his own home.

I left my job after 15 years, because I knew I wanted to make a difference in the care world. A difference to families struggling with loved ones that require care and more importantly allowing families to stay within their own home.  It is my ambition to change people’s lives for the better and promote a healthy independent living environment.

I further understand the greater need for high quality care and have substantial history of working in health and social care and recognise the finite pressures that are gripping our NHS today. Therefore, I want to offer a unique premium service of domiciliary care within the private sector. I want to offer a home care service that is personalised (tailored to your needs), compassionate, holistic and involves everyone that cares for the individual that requires support.

Visiting Angels Coventry & Warwickshire will ensure that we are a service that is breaking the mould of care today and offering support to the most vulnerable. I have chosen Visiting Angels because it is innovative and together, we have a journey to make a difference in the care sector and this will be prioritising and valuing our caregivers first. We will want to work with them to reach as many customers as possible and understand the challenges that caregivers face today.

Gagandeep Singh - Managing Director

After the loss of my beautiful Grandmother, I sadly had to watch my Grandfather suffer psychologically and watch him deteriorate because he was lonely and more importantly because he felt no one could understand him. My Grandfather required companionship, not from a psychologist, but from someone like you and me, a person who wants to care for people and has a compassion for individual's circumstances.

This led me to want to start looking at what support there was in the community and alarmingly, I found out some of the practices that were happening In care today. Firstly, I was surprised that carers were only given 15 minutes to perform personal care! And secondly, that several different carers would visit the home to deliver personal care. I was not only saddened by this but outraged that we accept this as the norm in the care industry today.

This has only motivated my passion to make changes in domiciliary care. I want to make a difference to people's lives and carer's lives.

I have a profound empathy for anyone struggling with a loved one and is alone and trying to do their best whilst holding down employment and meeting the needs of the person they are caring for. I want to make sure I am changing the way we do things in domiciliary care – it starts here at Visiting Angels

"I want to thank you for sending me such a wonderful Angel to help me during my recuperation. I always felt safe and comfortable when she was here."

"Thank for literally being "visiting angels" to dad. Without you his life would not have that magic touch you brought to him. You will be treasured for your work."
